because no one ever writes critiques on one of my photos i thought, well, give it a try and do someone else a favor
what i like about the photo is the idea itself, the model, the hairstyle, the facial expression, the neck, the background
what bothers me a little bit is the black fabric on the model itself, the cut (i would have given more space, especially because the eyes are below the middle of the pictures which makes it somehow very "grounded", maybe push it up a little?) and that its a little bit dark, no, wait, the lack of contrast maybe, i canīt put my finger on it but i think there is room for improvement
maybe you can try to use local contrast enhancement on the picture itsself (USM 15%, radius 150, treshhold 0) and let it pop out more
Its gorgeous! Really like the softness of it, makes it look like a pencil sketch rather than a photo. I have to agree with others below, the harshness of the black across the bottom detracts from the lovely softness of the rest, but other than that it is superb. Nice work!
It's beautiful; I love the simplicity of it! If i were to do anything to make it better is to crop out the black at the bottom. Its distracting from the focal point (her face/eyes) and it looks kind of awkward-or if the black weren't so jagged and instead was at the same height it would've looked better.
when i saw this as a thumb, my first thought was that it was a drawing the black top (if im right) looked like something that a canvas was resting on it does look a lot like something that should be drawn though
i mean all that in a good way, it's a wonderful shot
